Sally Becker

On December 10th 1993, Sally and her volunteers set off from Britain with 57 ambulances and trucks filled with humanitarian aid. The UN joined forces for the mission which they dubbed Operation Angel and together they delivered medical supplies and equipment to the hospitals in besieged areas and evacuated ninety eight wounded children and their families from across the war torn region. Some of the children were flown to Britain while others were taken to Italy and the USA.
